Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) is a suite of active car safety features and technologies that act as your extra set of eyes, ears, and reflexes on the road. TSS comes standard across the Toyota vehicle lineup and is offered in four unique packages depending on your specific Toyota model.

TSS-C

This tier of TSS features Toyota's intelligent Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, and Automatic High Beams.

TSS-P

TSS-P builds on the previous TSS-C tier and adds Dynamic Radar Cruise Control to its suite of advanced systems.

TSS-2.0

This is the most common TSS package across the Toyota lineup. It includes six standard active safety and driver assistance systems.

TSS-2.5+

TSS 2.5+ is our most advanced safety package, offering some of the most high-tech driver-assist safety features available.

Critical Testing

Toyota conducts over 1,600 vehicle crash tests and thousands more virtual simulations annually. Targeted sensors feed data to our engineers throughout each crash test, giving us the information necessary to adapt and improve the design of our vehicles to maximize your safety

Triple Checking

No Toyota vehicle makes it onto Canada’s highways without going through multiple check points. Take our airbags, for example.  Each airbag is inspected three separate times on the production line before being connected to the airbag system via corrosion-resistant terminals.

Evolving Design

In 2015, we introduced our Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), a complete overhaul of our platforms and powertrains. These re-engineered systems are designed to make Toyota vehicles better in every way - stronger, smarter, safer, and built to last.
